Located at the confluence of mountain adventure, you can start your journey through the Heart of West Virginia by experiencing no less than 10 major attractions visited by thousands of travelers each year.  You’ll soon discover the Heart of West Virginia has four distinct seasons.  Skiers enjoy our crisp white snow-covered mountains which, in spring, give way to lush green forests.  The clear blue skies of summer form the backdrop for a breathtaking kaleidoscope of fall colors. And then, its back to winter, with an average annual snowfall of 180” falling on nearly mile high mountains. You can experience your favorite activities in whatever season you choose.
